v) attend the funeral of a parent outside the immediate family who was not a member of the household, an allowance of up to one (1) day. For the purposes of this article, a parent is defined as uncle, aunt, cousin, niece or nephew or grandparent (as defined in clause (x) (i) (i) below) grandparent, uncle, aunt, cousin, niece or nephew. The agreement is a legally binding employment contract concluded through collective bargaining with the employer and the union. (vii) When a worker on sick leave, statutory leave, a break or, for whatever reason, is absent from the department`s service, the worker does not receive any funeral leave in addition to any of the absences mentioned above, unless the collective agreement allows it. If a teacher has not informed the department of his intention to return before the first day of teaching in April, that teacher is informed of the termination of his contract by May 31. The collective agreement between the Winnipeg School Division and the WTA regulates the terms of employment in the division. It is a matter of sketching out the obligations and rights and privileges of workers and employers. Notwithstanding the above considerations, a worker may keep a (1) bereavement leave in the event that the actual presentation takes place later or two (2) days during which a trip is required.
(vi) in the event of the death of a mother-in-law, a stepfather, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandson or grandfather, who is not a member of the worker`s household, may benefit from three consecutive days of work without loss of pay and an additional two consecutive leave with loss of wages. These days can only be taken during the period from the anniversary of death to the day included after the supplement, or three (3) (5) if additional days of pay are granted) consecutive working days after death, if the most important date is chosen.
